Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Grand Asian Journal of Computing and Emerging Technologies (GJCET) undergo the following review process before a publication decision is made:
- Initial Editorial Screening — Upon submission, the manuscript is first assessed by the Editorial Office for scope alignment (computer science, information technology, or emerging technologies), formatting compliance, and originality (via plagiarism-detection software). Manuscripts not meeting these basic requirements may be returned to the author without proceeding to review.
- Assignment to Handling Editor — Manuscripts that pass initial screening are assigned to a relevant Handling/Section Editor based on subject expertise.
- Double-Blind Peer Review — The manuscript is sent to a minimum of two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential from one another throughout the process to ensure impartial evaluation.
- Reviewer Evaluation — Reviewers assess the manuscript for originality, scientific/methodological soundness, clarity, relevance to the journal's scope, and overall contribution to the field. Reviewers submit their comments and recommendation (accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject) to the Editorial Office.
- Editorial Decision — Based on reviewers' feedback, the Handling Editor or Editor-in-Chief makes an initial decision and communicates it to the corresponding author, along with reviewer comments.
- Author Revision — If revisions are requested, authors are given a defined time frame to address reviewer comments and resubmit a revised manuscript along with a point-by-point response to reviewers.
- Re-review (if applicable) — Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers for a final evaluation, particularly in cases of major revision.
- Final Decision — The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision to accept, reject, or request further revision, based on reviewers' recommendations and the manuscript's overall compliance with GJCET's ethical and scientific standards.
- Acceptance and Production — Once accepted, the manuscript proceeds to copy editing, typesetting, and scheduling for publication.
Publication Timeline
Manuscripts are processed and published on a rolling/ongoing basis (or per issue schedule, where applicable), following completion of the peer review and revision process. Authors are notified of the editorial decision after the review process is complete, and accepted manuscripts proceed to copy editing, typesetting, and publication. Authors are expected to comply with the timeline set by the Editorial Office for submitting revisions, as delays may affect the manuscript's inclusion in the intended publication cycle.
